Philip Godfrey — Senior Advisor at New State Capital Partners

Los Angeles, California, resident Philip Godfrey is a results-oriented finance and investment professional with experience in private equity fund investing and financial reporting. He is also skilled at capital formation, transaction execution, process improvements, investment management, and strategic communications. He most recently served as senior advisor for New State Capital Partners, as a portfolio company operating advisor that concentrated on optimizing the financial performance of specialty manufacturing and tech-enabled services businesses. In this position, he managed the company sale of a composite materials manufacturing business, and developed a growth finance platform for a payments company in the consumer finance sector. Prior to joining New State Capital Partners, Philip Godfrey served as a partner and member of the investment committee for Bay Hills Capital Management, where he specialized in providing growth/buyout capital and partnering with new and upcoming private equity managers.

Philip Godfrey also served as partner and director for Pathway Capital Management, where he constructed multi-strategy, multi-manager portfolios for international institutions and pension funds. He developed alliances with fund management partners in Japan and the United Kingdom to increase and diversify revenue streams, and structured more than $15 billion worth of new investment commitments. He holds an MBA from Fuqua School of Business through Duke University.
